About Erika & Piper's Bakery

In my family, we always baked our own birthday cakes. My mom was talented in making our cakes look amazing every single year. When my husband and I brought home our first baby, an adorable little Lab - Piper Cub, I started baking for his birthdays as well.

When my puppy turned 1 year old , I wanted to take my family’s tradition of baking our own cakes and make one for him as well. For most people, dogs are now seen as part of the family, they are their babies. They are pampered with the best food, even clothes are given to them and now since a few years, celebrating their birthday with cake is not unheard of and actually very popular. People throw cute birthday parties and invite doggie friends. Return hampers have become part of it too.

People around me were interested in the cakes I baked for Piper Cub, so I decided to start a bakery and give people and their babies a fun and lovely experience with only the healthiest options available. Everything is salt, sugar- and glutenfree. The designs of the cakes are not your everyday bone and paw shaped cakes but fun, cute round cakes which dog parents absolutely adore. I have changed the way people look at dog cakes in this country and added treats for pets like cakesicles. Recipes have been developed until they were loved by every type of breed including ingredients like coconut oil and homemade peanut butter. We make sure doggies with allergies are well taken care of and tweak the recipes accordingly.
